Salt brining begins across DMV ahead of winter storm

At the Salt Dome in Northeast D.C., they've been mixing the brine here all day, and in the last hour or so, loaded up the trucks and are starting that pretreatment on district roads. One thing about the mix used in D.C. is that it's not just salt and water — there's also beet juice.
