Washington Gas gives public update on Centreville explosion for first time
We are finally hearing from Washington Gas publicly nearly two weeks after a home explosion and gas leak lead to evacuations in a Centreville neighborhood, prompting a federal investigation. Washington Gas says they’ve taken steps to ensure safety and hope to rebuild trust and transparency. Today’s news conference included Fairfax County Fire and Rescue, the county’s Department of Emergency Management and a debut public appearance from Washington Gas.
