Nationals racing presidents audition applications due Wednesday

For anyone who is an aspiring Racing President, Wednesday is the last day to apply for the Nationals President's Race auditions.

The auditions are being held Sunday, January 14 at Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy at 3675 Ely Place, SE Washington, D.C. 20019.

Candidates for the Racing Presidents will be gearing up to take on a role as 12-foot-tall mascots George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abe Lincoln, or Teddy Roosevelt, will be invited to perform a freestyle dance, run a 40-yard dash and participate in two races from center field to first base, all in-costume -- which means, be ready to have that giant heads on your shoulders!

Each applicant will also be required to answer questions from a panel of Nationals entertainment staff.

The Nationals say tryouts are by invitation only based on application and are not open to the public.

The application for the audition can be found online.
