SPONSORED: Mission Moments: Here’s what being involved with LLS means to FOX 5

FOX 5 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Mission Moments brought to you by WAWA

“When we walk, cancer runs” is the motivating theme for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walks. Supporters and survivors are walking again this year to raise money and awareness to fight blood cancers. LLS is the largest non-profit funder of cutting-edge research to advance cures.

To help people understand the importance of the LLS mission FOX 5, WaWa, and the WaWa Foundation are sharing this Mission Moments podcast. With interviews from cancer survivors, their families, people who are in the fight and information on research, we are hoping you will learn more about blood cancers and how those are working towards cures for everyone.

FOX 5 is honored to have the opportunity to support the Light the Night walks in the Greater DC area. There will be 3 walks – one each in Rockville, Reston, and on the National Mall in the District. FOX 5’s Maureen Umeh, Erin Como, and the team of Marina Marraco and Jim Lokay will emcee each of the walks.

Hear from a few of them about what being involved means to them in this episode of Mission Moments. For more information on how you can help www.lightthenight.org.
