Women arrested for alleged prostitution in Md.

On Tuesday, June 28 two women were arrested for allegedly committing crimes of prostitution in parts of Anne Arundel County.

An investigation started after officials received tips of prostitution in the area, according to Maryland State Police.

The department's Criminal Enforcement Division started an investigation into "several online social media sites which provide local adult and escort services" within the northern Anne Arundel County area, according to Maryland State Police.

During the investigation police say, two women were identified and online communication began between CED investigators and the two women. A meeting location was set up between the individuals. Police say the two women agreed through online communication to perform "sexual acts."

Officers arrived at the agreed upon location in Linthicum Heights and met the women, they once more agreed in person to commit the sexual acts, according to police.

The women were then taken into custody and identified as Sharpree S. Christian, 23, and Satori R. Brooks, 23, both from Sacramento, California.

Police also stated that while searching the women they found a small amount of the drug 'Molly' on their person.

Christian and Brooks were transported to the MSP-Glen Burnie Barrack and charged with prostitution and possession of not marihuana. They were then transported to the Anne Arundel County District Court Commissioner in Annapolis for an initial appearance; bail amount of $3000.00 was set on both suspects. Christian and Brooks were incarcerated at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
