Woman shot in Southeast DC, police say

WASHINGTON - Police say a woman was shot Friday night in the Anacostia neighborhood of D.C.

According to police, the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of U Street in Southeast D.C.

D.C. police say the victim was not conscious or breathing at the scene.

Homicide detectives have been requested to the scene.
