Woman killed in Clinton murder-suicide was special education teacher in Montgomery County

The woman killed in what police are calling a murder-suicide investigation in Prince George's County has been identified as a special education teacher at a school in Rockville.

Authorities say 46-year-old Anika Browne was found dead in her bedroom from gunshot wounds Monday night at her home in Clinton, Maryland. Her boyfriend, 49-year-old Gordon Johnson, was found dead in the same bedroom with what police are calling a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Detectives are still working to establish a motive in the case. Officials say Browne was a special education teacher at the Blair Ewing Center in Montgomery County. They say a letter will be sent home to families on Wednesday.
