HULL, Texas (FOX 13) - A Texas woman went to check on her family chickens and found one of the hens cuddling up with a giant snake.
Sara Allison stumbled upon the scene in her hometown of Hull. The family chicken's name is Bernadette, and she was nestled on top of the snake.
Allison captured photos thinking Bernadette's life was about to be cut short, but it wasn't. The snake reportedly slithered out a few hours later.
Allison said the reptile has been living near her family's chicken coop for about four years, and has never eaten any of the chickens - just a few eggs here and there. She said it was the first time she's seen it make a visit to the hen house. It's unclear what type of snake it was.
