UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. (FOX 11) - Los Angeles police took two people involved in a police pursuit of a stolen Prius that ended in Universal City into custody Friday afternoon.
The chase exited near Universal Studios. The driver ran into a parking structure in the Universal CityWalk area but the passenger was quickly taken into police custody.
Police temporarily shut down the parking structure as they systematically searched for the suspect.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., police took the driver into custody after finding him hiding in the backseat of one of the parked cars inside the parking structure, officials said.
The pursuit began in the North Hollywood area after police spotted a stolen black Prius.
No further details were immediately known. The investigation is ongoing.
