Smack talk, friendly bets as FOX 5 travels to Houston for start of World Series
HOUSTON (FOX 5 DC) - FOX 5's Josh Rosenthal ventured into enemy territory as the Washington Nationals get ready to take on the Astros in Houston for game one of the World Series!
Stopping in for a bite at The Breakfast Klub, a popular spot in the mid-town area, Josh met up with FOX 26's Nate Griffin to do a little morning trash talking. Josh might have been the only Nationals fan in the restaurant – but he represented his team well!
Josh also received a special welcome from Breakfast Klub owner, Marcus Davis – a died-hard ‘Stros' fan -- who told him about a little bet he made with the owners of D.C.'s famous Ben's Chili Bowl!
Breakfast Klub owner, Marcus Davis
According to Marcus, smack talk between he and Kamal, son of founders Virginia Ali and her late husband, Mahaboob “Ben” Ali, led to the bet.
If the Nationals win, Marcus says he'll head to D.C. to serve up some delicious dogs and half-smokes. If Houston wins, the Ben's Chili Bowl team will head to Houston!
What I'm ready to do is to see Ben's Chili Bowl's employees wearing The Breakfast Klub shirts. I'm ready to see a banner in D.C. on Ben's Chili Bowl's saying, “Go Astros!” Marcus said he was in D.C. to celebrate his daughter's graduation from Howard University.
“Shout out to Howard, as they say, 'the real H-U.' I know because my money went there,” he laughed.

Who will be victorious? We'll have to wait and see! But we have a good feeling we'll be seeing Marcus back in the District serving up those half-smokes soon enough!
You can watch the World Series on FOX beginning tonight!
