Secret Service bans selfie sticks during Pope Francis' visit to DC
WASHINGTON - If you plan on trying to catch a glimpse of Pope Francis in D.C. when he makes his first-ever U.S. visit - leave your selfie stick at home.
The Secret Service has said that the gadgets will not be allowed at the papal events around the National Mall in the District.
Authorities in New York City and Philadelphia have also banned them during the visit.
The Pope will begin his U.S. tour on September 22nd when he arrives in Washington, D.C.
