Puppy rescued from tire rim in Bastrop County
A puppy found herself in a sticky situation last week when she got her head stuck in a rim of a tire in Bastrop County.
Bastrop County Animal Control and Shelter posted about the incident on Saturday afternoon and said with some help from the community they were able to get the little one freed.
The Bastrop County Fire Department and Wags, Hope and Healing, who works with the shelter, also responded to the call and helped reunite the puppy with her mom.
The animal shelter said on Facebook all the puppies and their mom were going to be spayed and neutered. The pups were checked into Wags and given baths on Monday. They will be at a Wags adoption event on Saturday, April 14, at Tomlinson's located on 12th Street and Lamar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
