Police search for gunman after overnight attempted robbery, shooting in Fairfax County
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Police are searching for a gunman after an overnight attempted robbery and shooting in Fairfax County. The shootings happened around 2 a.m. along Braeleigh Lane and Collins Meade Way in the Kingstowne area of Alexandria.
The victim reported that a man demanded belongings from him and when he was denied the suspect shot the victim in the arm, then fled the scene.
Police say the male victim is expected to survive.
Investigators have no word on a motive and police only have a very vague suspect description.
