Police looking for 3 suspects in armed robbery outside of Westfield Wheaton Mall

Montgomery County police have released a surveillance photo of two of the three suspects accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in the parking garage of Westfield Wheaton Mall.

Police say the armed robbery happened on Oct. 11 as the victim was followed by the suspects from the food court to the stairwell entrance of a parking garage at around 9 p.m.

The victim told police that the suspects approached her and one of them was armed with a handgun. She said they then covered their faces with masks.

Police say one of the suspects assaulted the woman and threatened her with the handgun while another suspect took the wallet from her pants. The third suspect acted as a lookout during the robbery, police say. The three suspects fled the area afterwards.

The suspect armed with the handgun was described as a Hispanic male in his late teens, 5'5" tall and weighs around 150 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black and white Adidas tennis shoes and had a black backpack.

The second suspect was described as an African-American male, 5'8" tall and weighs about 165 pounds. He has black eyes and brown hair, and was wearing a black hoodie, dark blue pants, orange shoes and also had a black backpack.

The third suspect is described as an African-American male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black shoes along with black backpack.
