PRINCE GEORGE'S CO., Md. - Three highway shootings in Prince George’s County appear to be connected, and investigators are searching for a single suspect, police said Tuesday.
What we know:
Maryland State Police said the first shooting happened around 10:35 p.m. Monday on MD Route 5 at Allentown Road. The second occurred about 12 minutes later on the ramp from north MD Route 5 to the outer loop of Interstate 495. The third shooting was reported around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on southbound I‑495 at Ardwick Ardmore Road.
Authorities believe the shooter was driving a red or burgundy Dodge Challenger or Charger. The suspect is described as a Black man wearing a dark sweatshirt or top and light‑colored pants.
Investigators believe all three shootings are related. No fatalities were reported.
