Police: 5 teens facing child porn charges in Fairfax County

Five teenage boys are facing child porn charges after illicit images of teenage girls were found on a social media account, Fairfax County Police announced Friday.

According to police, two victims, who attend Robinson High School, told a school administrator that they found nude images of themselves on an anonymous Snapchat account on February 13.

After the report was made, a school resource officer contacted Fairfax County Police's Child Exploitation Unit who conducted a lengthy investigation into the allegations.

The investigation found that the victims attended West Springfield High School, Lake Braddock High School, Robinson High School and South County High School. Detectives say they were able to identify and notify some of the victims, but many are unidentifiable.

Five teenage boys, who police say all live in Fairfax County and attend Robinson Secondary School, Lake Braddock Secondary School and W.T. Woodson High School, were charged with 10 felonies on May 8. Police say nine of the charges were for possession of child pornography, and one for unlawful filming.
