Overnight armed robberies investigated in Prince George's County

PALMER PARK, Md. - Two early morning armed robberies are being investigated in Prince George's County.

Police say the first was reported around 4:30 a.m. on the 1900 block of Belle Haven Drive. Officers say the victim ran into a convenience store for help after being robbed.

About ten minutes later and less than two miles away, officers responded to the 6200 block of Columbia Park Road for a second robbery. Investigators say a person was robbed and shots were fired at the victim. The victim ran into a business park for help.

Officers believe the robberies happened on foot and the suspect fled in a vehicle. No suspects have been identified at this time.
