One dead after Columbia Heights crash

WASHINGTON - A person is dead after a single-car crash Sunday morning in Columbia Heights.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Harvard Street, Northwest. Police identified the victim who died as 39-year-old Nelson Orellana of Northwest D.C.
Fox 5 arrived to the scene as responders towed the car away.
The car appeared to have crashed into a security kiosk near Carlos Rosario International Charter School, completely knocking the structure off its foundation.
