OmniRide riders face delays during commute as work stoppage continues

Commuters who use OmniRide may again face delays Friday due to a bus operator work stoppage. The transit company says OmniRide buses will operate on a modified Emergency Service Plan on Friday, August 2.

Officials say a labor contract expired on July 31 and that negotiations are continuing.

OMNIRIDE EXPRESS

-Dale City, Lake Ridge and Service from the 234 Commuter Lot: Buses will run to the Pentagon APPROXIMATELY every 30 minutes from 4:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. (last buses start in Dale City/Lake Ridge/234 Lot at 8:30 a.m.) Dale City and Lake Ridge buses will serve their regular local routing.

-Manassas Express: Passengers should board a Manassas Metro Express bus. Buses will run to the Tysons Corner Metro Station APPROXIMATELY every 30 minutes from 4:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (last bus starts at Manassas Mall at 8:30 a.m.)

-Gainesville: Passengers should board a Linton Hall Metro Express bus. Buses will run to the Tysons Corner Metro Station APPROXIMATELY every 20 minutes from 4:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. (last bus starts at Limestone Lot at 8:30 a.m.)

-Montclair and South Route 1: Shuttles from the Montclair and South Route 1 areas to the Route 234 Commuter Lot will run APPROXIMATELY every 25 minutes from 4:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (last shuttles start in Montclair/S. Route 1 area at 8 a.m.)

-Haymarket: Shuttle from the Heathcote Commuter Lot to the Cushing Road Commuter Lot will run APPROXIMATELY every 20 minutes from 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (last shuttle ends at Cushing Lot at 8 a.m.)

-Mark Center and Tysons-Woodbridge: No service.

OMNIRIDE METRO EXPRESS

-Prince William Metro Express: Buses will run as close to their regular schedules as possible.

-Manassas Metro Express: Buses will run to the Tysons Corner Metro Station APPROXIMATELY every 30 minutes from 4:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

-Linton Hall Metro Express: Buses will run to the Tysons Corner Metro Station APPROXIMATELY every 20 minutes from 4:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.

OMNIRIDE LOCAL & CROSS COUNTY CONNECTOR

- OmniRide Local and Cross County Connector: Buses will run as close to their regular schedules as possible. NO off-route trips will be served for any Local buses.

VRE SHUTTLES

-No service.
