Officer in Bowie transported for evaluation following crash, police say

BOWIE, Md. - A police officer in Bowie was transported to an Anne Arundel County hospital to be evaluated following a Thanksgiving morning crash.

Officers say the officer was traveling northbound on Route 197 around 10 a.m. and was involved in a collision with a vehicle that was turning.

The two adults and two children in the vehicle were not injured, police say.

The incident is still under investigation.
