A Bay Area family decided National Puppy Day was a great day to surprise their little girl with a new furry friend, and they captured the moment on camera!

FOX 13 News viewer Anita sent video of the moment a Spring Hill mom introduced her daughter to her new best friend - a Pomeranian-mix puppy they named Daisy.

Anita said the family lost their grandfather in January and it was time to bring some joy into their lives.

The video begins with a view of mom and puppy adopter, Nicole sitting in a vehicle with the tiny pup in her lap. When the car stops, Nicole's daughter, Sydnie sees the puppy through the window and immediately starts crying.

She hugs her mom and says "thank you!"

When mom asks "whadda ya think," she cries back, "he's so cute!"

Mom asks her why she's crying, and her reply was priceless.

"Because it's so cute!" she said, half crying, half smiling.

Apparently Sydnie didn't quite realize the puppy was hers. When Nicole says, "she's yours," her daughter lights up.

Sydnie picked up the puppy and hugged it, then lay her head back on her mom's arm. It was a love-fest.

Anita told FOX 13 News, they think Daisy is a mix between Pomeranian and Yorkie. They adopted Daisy from a "wonderful woman" who found Daisy's mom as a stray and later had puppies.

Happy National Puppy day to Anita, Nicole, Sydnie and Daisy, who clearly found a loving fur-ever home!
