More than 25 shots fired in Shaw double shooting
Two people were shot Saturday night in the 1700 block of 7th St. NW in Shaw, police say.
WASHINGTON - D.C. police say two people were injured in a shooting Saturday night in Shaw.
It happened around 11:23 p.m. Saturday at 7th and R streets, Northwest.
Police believe more than 25 shots were fired. A 19-year-old was shot in the legs and a 2nd victim was injured, possibly from debris. Three cars and an apartment building window were also damaged.
Police say the suspect later fled the scene on 7th Street Northwest in a blue SUV.
The two victims are now recovering at a hospital.
