Montgomery County speed cameras raked in over $15M in revenue last year: AAA report

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - If you have a lead foot, you may want to pay more attention when you're driving in Montgomery County. According to a new report from AAA, Montgomery County generates the most money from speed camera violations in Maryland.
During the past fiscal year, the report shows that the county collected more than $15 million in revenue. That's nearly 25 percent of the $64 million the state collected in traffic fines.
Baltimore City was right behind Montgomery County, collecting nearly $10 million, according to the report. Prince George's County came in third place, followed by Baltimore County and College Park.
