A Maryland man who was wanted for murder and a possible abduction in Virginia is in custody after a pursuit in Raleigh, N.C.

On Friday, Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert for 43-year-old Amy Renee Fabian on behalf of the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement believed that Fabian was with George Knisley IV of Carroll County, Md. and was possibly in danger. They say she has not been found - and the missing person alert is still in effect.

The authorities issued the alert after they responded to a home in the 200 block of Mount Airy Lane around 3:30 a.m. following a reported homicide.

When they arrived at the home, they found a man dead inside the residence. Fabian, who also lives at the listed address, was not located there, according to authorities.

They say he left the scene of the homicide in a stolen vehicle.

Late Friday night, law enforcement officials determined that Knisley stole another vehicle in North Carolina.

Later in the evening, Raleigh Police took Knisley into custody following a pursuit.

He is currently facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the Cumberland County homicide.
