ELKRIDGE, Md. - A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Maryland early Monday morning.
The accident happened around 12:43 a.m. on the southbound stretch of the highway just prior to the Route 100 exit ramp.
Several lanes of traffic were shut down during the investigation. Police say the striking vehicle remained on the scene.
It is unclear why the man was on the highway when he was struck. All lanes of Interstate 95 have since reopened.
