Man shot, killed by sheriff's deputy during domestic incident
ALDIE, Va. - A Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy shot and killed a man while responding to a domestic-related incident at a home in Aldie, Virginia Friday morning.
Police responded at 4:45 a.m. for a report of a disorderly man damaging items inside of his home in the 41400 block of Carriage Horse Drive.
Officers say that when the deputy arrived, the man advanced on him with a knife near the front doorway.
Investigators say the deputy told the man several times to drop the knife and fired a single shot at him when he refused and continued his advance.
The name of the suspect has not yet been released. The investigating is continuing at this time.
