WASHINGTON - Police say a fatal triple shooting happened Friday night shortly before midnight in northeast D.C. It's believed to have happened during a party, which was taking place at a home in the 3000 block of 25th Street NE. That's in the Langdon neighborhood.
According to police, 22-year-old Davon Wade was killed, and two others were hurt in the shooting. All three victims were taken to hospitals, one of them in a private car. Wade died at the hospital, and the other two victims were admitted with serious injuries.
Police haven't released details about a motive or any other circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Wade's murder was the 106th homicide in the District in 2015. The total number of homicides this year has now exceeded the number that occurred in all of 2014, and murders have increased by more than 40 percent over the same time last year.
