Man shot in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON - Police say a man is recovering after a shooting early Saturday in Northeast D.C. 

The shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 4600 block of North Capitol Street, Northeast.

Police found the victim conscious and breathing at the scene. He is expected to survive.

They descibed the suspected shooter as a 6-foot-2 black man wearing a blue windbreaker.
