Leukemia Cup Regatta supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in fight against blood cancers

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - FOX 5 DC Cares is once again teaming up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to raise awareness and funds to help win the battle against blood cancers.

The Leukemia Cup Regatta is held in cities from coast to coast and has raised more than $62 million since the first event in 1988. The funds are used to fund research and patient services, but more is needed.

FOX 5's Gary McGrady was at Belle Haven Marina in Old Town Alexandria where they are hoping to get more people excited about joining the fight. Watch the video above!
