Hot, humid start Monday; scattered afternoon storms possible

A hot and humid start to the week in the D.C. region with temperatures in the mid-90s and the possibility of scattered showers during the afternoon on Monday.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says expect sunny skies through the morning hours but as the humidity builds look for shower chances sometime after the 3 p.m. hour. Most will stay dry, Mike says, but the possibility for rain continues into the evening.

The heat peaks on Tuesday with highs near 95 degrees expected and storm chances increase as the week moved forward with the possibility of showers each afternoon into the weekend.
