Dog dies after video shows it being choked, dragged on the floor at Chicago pound
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - The Emanuel administration has released video of an incident in which a dog at the city pound died after being choked by animal care workers.
The footage came from a surveillance camera at the Animal Care and Control Facility at 27th and Western. The video was released only once the Better Government Association sued City Hall to turn it over.
The video shows the dog thrashing, and then going motionless after one of the worker's poles apparently cut off the canine's airflow. Then, a few seconds later, the dog is dragged down the hall like a mop, leaving behind a liquid on the ground.
Some viewers may find the video extremely disturbing.
