DC police investigating triple shooting in Southeast

Police are investigating after they say three people, including a juvenile, were shot in Southeast DC.

Officials say it happened just after 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 3700 block of Ely Place, Southeast, near the Fort Dupont Ice Arena.

A silver car was struck several times by bullets.

Police say when they got to the scene, they found two adult males and one juvenile inside the car all suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officials say one victim, who is a juvenile, was taken to the hospital conscious and breathing.

The other two victims are adult males, according to police, one of whom had serious injuries. Officials say both men were conscious and breathing.

D.C. police say they are looking for a silver Hyundai with tinted windows which they say be connected to the shooting.

We're being told that the juvenile and an adult suffered non-life-threatening injuries while the other adult is in critical condition at a nearby hospital.

Police say they're looking for a gray sedan in relation to this incident.

"Usually there's not a lot of cops on this street particularly. It hasn't been, it's not a rough neighborhood. It's a lot of kids that live around here. My kids come around here so it's just like crazy that this even happened," said area resident Ashley Jones.

Police are asking anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Metropolitan Police as soon as possible.
