Bullets strike vehicle on interstate 395 in Virginia

Virginia State Police are investigating a shooting that happened on interstate 395.

The incident was reported just before 8 p.m. Thursday night in the northbound lane prior to the HOV entrance.

Officers responded to a call for shots fired at a car. When they arrived they found two vehicles stopped on the side of the highway. One of the vehicles, a Hyundai Sonata, had bullet holes in the front seats near the driver's side window and near the passenger's side window.

The driver in the Hyundai Sonata was not injured. Both vehicle that were stopped were traveling together at the time of the shooting. Police say neither driver could provide any description or license plate of a suspect vehicle.
