Arlington armed robbery suspect in custody after crashing into water during pursuit
ARLINGTON COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - An armed robbery suspect who sped away from police in Arlington County is in custody after he crashed his vehicle into the Potomac on Sunday.
According to Arlington County police, the suspect - who has not been identified - robbed a business in the 2600 block of Columbia Pike and then drove away.
Police pursued the suspect, but he crashed into the water at George Washington Parkway Northbound at I-395.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital after the incident. Police do not believe his injuries are life threatening.
