A chilly, rainy Monday with showers expected into the evening

A chilly start Monday morning with rain showers across much of the area on a day that is expected to be a total washout. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says some parts of the region are waking up to steady rain with temperatures in the 40s and 50s - so don't forget your umbrella and your heavy jacket.

The steadiest and wettest part of the day will be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Mike says. The wet weather should begin to move out during the evening commute hours but the chilly temperatures will remain.

Drier conditions Tuesday but the cool air sticks around. Expect partly sunny skies with highs near 63 degrees. It looks like a warmer and drier weekend ahead!
