$2000 reward offered for emotional support dog missing from Montgomery County neighborhood

A Maryland family is pleading for the return of their young son's emotional support dog who they say was taken from nearby their Montgomery County home.

Sandrine Hildembrand told FOX 5 that their 1-year-old beagle/French bulldog mix named Macks was specially trained as an "emotional support companion" for their son Mathis who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Coffin-Lowry syndrome.

Sandrine says on June 10, Macks got out of the backyard of their home on Copenhaver Terrace in Potomac, Maryland and, according to witnesses, was taken by three men in a pickup truck near Cold Spring Road near Over Ridge Road.

Sandrine says the vehicle may have been a landscaping or contractor's truck. Neighbors have pitched in and have raised $2000 in reward money for the safe return of Macks. Anyone with information is asked to call 202-674-1545.
