2 killed in Spotsylvania County ATV crash

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - Two men are dead after an ATV crash in Spotsylvania County Thursday morning.

Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene in the area of 12500 Spotswood Furnace Road after 51-year-old Michael Poole of Camarillo, Calif. And 58-year-old Timothy Cook of Fredericksburg were found in the driveway

According to the Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m.

Family members had tried to take life saving measures, but the men were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

Investigators believe alcohol was involved in the crash.
