1 killed in serious crash in Purcellville

PURCELLVILLE, Va. - A serious crash left one person dead and closed a portion of a Virginia roadway for several hours early Friday morning in Loudoun County. The accident happened on Route 9 between Hillsboro Road and Purcellville Road in Purcellville, Virginia.

The head on collision involved two vehicles. One person was killed in the accident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
