Possible tornado reported in Salisbury, police say

Authorities said a possible tornado may have touched down in Salisbury, Maryland on Monday.

The Salisbury Police Department tweeted that a possible tornado may have touched down in the area of Carrollton Avenue and John Street.

Police said no injuries had reported, but pictures and video from the South Salisbury University Boulevard area showed multiple cars overturned, trees toppled over and extensive damage to buildings.

A storm survey has been scheduled for Tuesday morning by the National Weather Service out of Wakefield, Virginia.
