WASHINGTON - Another hot and humid day Thursday with highs in the mid-90s and the possibility of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
FOX 5's Caitlin Roth says hazy sunshine and quickly rising temperatures will bring afternoon highs near 94 degrees. The heat and humidity could push the heat index values into the triple digits at times.
A cold front will swing down from Pennsylvania sparking scattered thunderstorms by late afternoon. Some of those storms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail.
Expect the storms to push through during the evening, Caitlin says, with some showers lingering overnight into Friday.
