Maryland state trooper struck by suspected impaired driver in Prince George’s County
A man is charged after officials said he struck a Maryland state trooper’s patrol vehicle while driving under the influence in Prince George’s County. State officials said Rayshard Davon Shield, 32, hit the trooper’s patrol vehicle while the trooper was checking on a vehicle parked along Branch Avenue. The trooper was taken to the hospital and later released, officials said. Shield faces impaired driving and other traffic-related charges, officials said.
