Memorial scholarship established to honor murdered congressional intern

The Eric Tarpinian-Jachym Memorial Scholarship was created by The Fund for American Studies and the Tarpinian-Jachym family to support undergraduate students participating in TFAS programs in Washington, D.C. Eric, a 21-year-old UMass Amherst student and congressional intern, was killed last year in a shooting in the District.
