Sunday turns wet in DC area; wintry mix may clip northern suburbs
A springlike Valentine’s Day gave the D.C. area highs in the upper 50s, but temperatures drop into the 30s overnight. Rain is expected to develop late Sunday morning and continue through the evening. Forecasters are also watching for a wintry mix on the northern and northwestern edge of the system — mainly areas north and west of the District — while most neighborhoods see plain rain. After a cooler start Saturday, temperatures trend milder again later in the week, with more rain chances possible midweek.
