Tornado strikes Howard County, severe storms hit other parts of DC region

Severe weather rolled through Maryland, Virginia and parts of D.C. Thursday bringing heavy rain, downing trees and even dropping a tornado in Howard County. On Friday, the National Weather Service will be back in the Glenelg area of the county to survey the damage. This is the second twister to hit the county in a week. Last Thursday an EF-1 tornado touched down in the Columbia area.
