Montgomery County Fire and Rescue shows residents how to dispose of batteries properly

Friday is the start of a four-week education campaign in Montgomery County on how to properly recycle batteries. A study found that in a seven-year period, waste facilities experience more than 240 fires because of batteries that were thrown in the trash. The Montgomery County battalion chief gave a demonstration of what could happen if your batteries end up in a trash compactor.
