VIDEO: Obama family lights DC's National Christmas Tree
WASHINGTON - For the eighth and final time, the Obama family lit the National Christmas Tree Thursday night on DC's National Mall.
The 94th Annual National Christmas Tree Lighting was, as it usually is, a star-studded event. President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughter Sasha were joined on the Ellipse in President's Park outside the White House by a host of performers, including Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, the Lumineers, Yolanda Adams, James Taylor and Garth Brooks, and others.
The event, which is put on through a partnership with the Natioanl Park Service and the National Park Foundation, will also be broadcast on the Hallmark Channel on December 5.
