2 teens arrested for grocery store shooting

New video released on Wednesday shows a brazen shooting inside a Montgomery County grocery store. Two teenagers were seen chasing down and shooting another teen. Now, the suspects are behind bars.

New video released on Wednesday shows a brazen shooting inside a Montgomery County grocery store. 

Two teenagers were caught on camera chasing down and shooting another teen. Now, the suspects are behind bars.

What we know:

Surveillance video shows 19-year-old Marcus Isaiah Jovan Braithwaite and 16-year-old Demba Tandia walking into the front entrance at the Giant Food grocery store on Leaman Farm Road in Germantown on the night of Friday, March 27. 

Police say both suspects are running with guns in the fruit and flower section, chasing a teenager throughout the store. Seconds later, they’re chasing him near the checkout lanes.

They opened fire, shooting multiple rounds. The other teen was hit two times by the check out lanes as the two customers ducked down, running for cover.

Then, Braithwaite and Tandia run out of the store.

Suspects caught:

Montgomery County police were able to track down the suspects. 

Court documents say one of them dropped his cell phone at the scene. 

Both suspects are in jail and will be charged as adults. They're facing several charges, including attempted first-degree murder.
