Police: YouTube teen star from Md. dies after medical emergency
A Maryland teenager known by many for his appearances on his family's YouTube videos is being mourned by millions of fans after a mysterious death.
For nearly two years, nearly two million viewers tuned in for daily videos on the Bratayleys' YouTube channel. The family mainly chronicled the everyday routine of their two young daughters and 13-year-old son Caleb LeBlanc -- known by many as Caleb Logan Bratayley -- and they all virtually grew up before the eyes of strangers across the internet.
But Caleb's family and police say he died last Thursday from a previously undetected medical condition. The family said they are hoping for more answers in the coming weeks. Anne Arundel County police say a medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
Caleb's mother initially took to Instagram to break the sad news and wrote to fans, "Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him."
Police say at this point, they are not sure how or why Caleb died, but they do not suspect any foul play.
