The girl was in critical condition for about 24 hours before she was pronounced dead on Saturday, June 4.
Her parents have been charged with second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and second-degree child abuse. Their names have not yet been released, and authorities have not yet identified the girl.
This happened in the 2600 block of Boldt Street, which is near the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Telegraph Road.
