Massive speed camera spotted in Montgomery County
A newly installed speed camera has been spotted on Bradley Boulevard near Wilson Lane in Bethesda.
BETHESDA, Md. - A newly installed speed camera has been spotted on Bradley Boulevard near Wilson Lane in Bethesda.
What we know:
The camera is part of Montgomery County’s ongoing expansion of its automated traffic‑enforcement program.
The county signed a contract last year to add 140 speed cameras and 76 red‑light cameras across the county.
The expansion includes more than 55 roadside deployable units, along with fixed pole cameras in school zones and additional red‑light cameras at key intersections.
County officials say the new devices will be placed in both existing and new locations identified by traffic‑safety data and focused on areas with high rates of speeding and injury‑related crashes.
